  2. TEXT: Gal 5:18; Phil 2:13; Rom 12:1-2 • What does the leading of the Holy Spirit do?

  3. I. It delivers us from the Law • A. God’s purpose is that we are to be led by the Spirit not governed by the Law • B. If we endeavor to conduct our lives by rules we are wrong (Gal 2:18-19) because… • C. In order for us to be led by the Spirit we must not be hindered by endeavoring to obey the Law • D. However, the Holy Spirit’s leading enables us to fulfill the Law by ministry to others (Gal 5:13-14)

  4. II. It produces a life of service (Phil 2) • A. A pattern of ministry – how will others benefit? (Phil 2:3) • B. An outlook of servanthood – what can I do to minister to others’ needs? (Phil 2:4) • C. An understanding of power – available to overcome difficulty and uphold attitude (Phil 2:13-14)

  5. III. It proves we are being led in God’s will • A. Yielded to God (Rom 12:1) • B. Confident of His will (Rom 12:2) – second not first • C. Wise about our gifts (Rom 12:3-8) • D. Effective in ministry (Rom 12:9-16)
