  3. Description of a Softball • Size and Shape: the two main sizes are 11 inch and 12 inch balls today. Softballs are in a sphere shape so they can do many things. • Materials made from: Mostly leather and seams to leather together. • Colors of Softballs: bright lime-yellow and the seams are bright red.

  4. How Softballs are Used • To Use Them in a Softball Game: girls use them in softball games to hit, throw, catch, pitch, etc. • Types of Ages: many ages of girls play softball from kindergarten to girls out of college play! • Types of Sizes: 11 inch and 12 inch are the main sizes used today.

Facts About the Outside Game • Who made the game an outside sport: Lewis Rober, a fireman, wanted a outside game so him and his team mates could stay in shape. • Who Governed it in the US: Amateur Softball Association (ASA) made it in the U.S. • Who Required Rules: ASA also required rules that still exist today.

  7. Conclusion • A softball is unique because of its description, uses and its cool history. I think they are very cool. Cool feeling and great colors. Good history.
