  5. “Whitewashing the Fence” • Painting, using a thin, cheap paint.

  6. In this image, I see a boy painting a fence. This is exactly what it says in the title!

  7. In this image, I see someone running away from the fence, that is probably supposed to be painted.

  8. What prediction can I make? Prediction = an educated guess about what might happen

  9. What prediction can I make? I can predict that this story is about a group of boys—a boy who whitewashes a wall, and a boy who is watching the whitewashing happen.
