  5. Cell Membrane Structure 1. The cell membrane is semi-permeable (lets some things in, keeps other things out).

  11. Cell identification enables cells to recognize each other. For example, immunity cells recognize foreign cells, and sperm cells recognize an ovum (egg) to fertilize.
