  1. During February half-term! Saturday 14th February – Sunday 22nd February 2015 (a tour designed for older school-aged children, accompanied by their parents or teachers) Land The Book of the a 9 day tour of Israeland Palestinebased in Galilee, Bethlehem and Jerusalem led by Mike Fuller

  2. Mike Fuller is a Baptist Minister, international Bible teacher, New Wine speaker, teacher of Religious Studies, and author of “The Entire Story of the Bible in 50 Minutes” and “A Fool’s Guide to Following Jesus”.

  3. Saturday 14th February Morning flight from London Heathrow to Tel Aviv

  4. Saturday 14th February We are then transferred by air-conditioned bus (with Wi-Fi) to our first hotel …

  5. Saturday 14th February … in Tiberias, a few hundred yards from the Sea of Galilee Evening free!

  6. Sunday 15th February We start the day with an “orientation” multi-media presentation introducing Galilee…

  7. Sunday 15th February … then view the 2000 year old “Jesus boat” at a nearby kibbutz …

  8. Sunday 15th February We sail across the lake on a replica of this boat, pausing on the lake for our Sunday worship…

  9. Sunday 15th February We visit Kursi on the Sea of Galilee - the site associated with the story of the “Gadarene swine” …

  10. Sunday 15th February … the recently discovered village of Bethsaida, Peter and Andrew’s home … The “Fishermen’s House” at Bethsaida

  11. Sunday 15th February … then continue to Capernaum (Jesus’ home town) …

  12. Sunday 15th February … where we see Peter’s house and the ancient synagogue.

  13. Sunday 15th February We visit Tabgha (associated with the feeding of the 5000, and one of Jesus’ resurrection appearances)

  14. Sunday 15th February We end the day with worship together on the “Mount of the Beatitudes”

  15. Monday 16th February Today we explore Galilee more, passing Mount Tabor (a possible site of the Transfiguration) …

  16. Monday 16th February We visit Cana (the site of Jesus’ first miracle, turning water into wine) …

  17. Monday 16th February In Nazareth, we visit sites connected with the childhood of Jesus … The Church of the Annunciation The Church of the Well

  18. Monday 16th February … we also visit Nazareth Village, built to show and explain life and trades in the time of Jesus.

  19. Monday 16th February … the Mount of the Precipice, where Jesus walked through the crowd that sought to throw him down …

  20. Monday 16th February … finally, we view the Valley of Armageddon – scene of ancient battles, and the Bible setting for End of Times

  21. Tuesday 17th February Leaving the Galilee, we drive south through the Jordan Valley

  22. Tuesday 17th February We see the baptismal site where it is believed Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist It may be possible to baptise any member of the group who wants this – in the Jordan river Please talk to Mike about this well beforehand!

  23. Tuesday 17th February We pass through the Wadi Kelt (the valley of the shadow of death) and see St George’s Monastery across the valley

  24. Tuesday 17th February Arriving in Jerusalem, we view the city from the top of the Mount of Olives …

  25. Tuesday 17th February We enter Jerusalem, seeing for the first time the Western Wall - a buttressing wall which is all that remains of the Temple …

  26. Tuesday 17th February … and explore the tunnels under the Temple Mount …

  27. Tuesday 17th February … at one point, walking on flagstones that Jesus almost certainly walked on.

  28. Tuesday 17th February We continue to see the excavations of David’s city

  29. Tuesday 17th February … and, for those who want, walk through Hezekiah’s tunnel …

  30. Tuesday 17th February … finishing at the Pool of Siloam.

  31. Tuesday 17th February Our new hotel is within the Palestinian territory, in Bethlehem

  32. Wednesday 18th February In the morning we visit Herodion, one of Herod’s palaces … …

  33. Wednesday 18th February … then see the“Shepherds’ Fields”, and worship in one of the ancient shepherds’ caves.

  34. Wednesday 18th February We visit the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.

  36. Wednesday 18th February The remainder of the day is free to meet local Arab Christians, including visiting Bethlehem Bible College, and The Tent of Nations

  37. Thursday 19th February Approaching Jerusalem again, we visit Bethany to see the tomb of Lazarus …

  38. Thursday 19th February ….and then walk into Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, following the route Jesus took on the first Palm Sunday …

  39. Thursday 19th February …. stopping at the Dominus Flavit church, which marks the place where Jesus wept over Jerusalem

  40. Thursday 19th February We spend some time in contemplation and worship at Gethsemane …

  41. Thursday 19th February We spend some time in contemplation and worship at Gethsemane …

  42. Thursday 19th February … and then follow the “Last path” through the Kidron valley …

  43. Thursday 19th February We return to the Western Wall - the buttressing wall which is all that remains of the Temple … … hopefully, seeing a Bar Mitzvah…

  44. Thursday 19th February … and visit a possible site of Caiaphas’ house

  45. Thursday 19th February We view the valley of Gehinnom

  46. Thursday 19th February In the evening, we visit the newly extended Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial.

  47. Friday 20th February Returning to the Old City, we visit the Bethesda pool, where Jesus healed a paralysed man

  48. Friday 20th February We see the Lithostratus (thought to be part of the courtyard from Herod’s Antonia Fortress)

  49. Friday 20th February We follow part of the “Via Dolorosa” – remembering Jesus’ walk to the cross …

  50. Friday 20th February We see a possible location of the Upper Room …
