  1. Identity Unit Day #2Entrance Ticket: • What are two things Mr. Cassidy hoped you would learn from Day #1? • Hints: • Marilyn Manson • Metacognition • Personal Identity • Stereotypes

  2. Definitions • Define identity in your own words. • Now, use a dictionary to define identity. • Compare the two definitions. Combine them to make a definition that works for you! • Find your number partner (I’ll assign), share your definitions with each other and then choose the best definition to share with the class.

  3. Two Identities to Consider • First: Patel • Patel’s TED Talk • Draw a web where you identify as many of his character traits as possible. • Circle the four that seem most important. • Second: Calvin • Calvin & Hobbes comic strip. • Draw a web to identify his traits. • Circle the most important four.

  4. Round Robin • In a group of 4, you will share out the 4 words you chose to represent Patel in the Word Web you created for him. • You must have reasons for choosing those 4, as you will have to talk for the full 30 seconds while no one else in your group can speak • Now, do the same thing, but for Calvin

  5. Super-You Blog Post • Both characters (one fictional and one real) based part of their identity on a superhero. • Blog: • Blog what your four words/phrases were. • Blog how they have changed (or not) since we moved deeper into this unit. • Choose a Superhero that you would like to emulate and explain why on your blog.
