  1. Correct Ways To Wear Your Wedding Ring Being a couple, have you ever wondered about the correct way to wear your wedding rings? Well, if you google it, you’ll find many ways of doing that. People have their own conventions as regards wedding rings and engagement rings. So, choosing what you think might be the right way becomes pretty confusing. But, actually, that’s not important. What’s important is that your way of wearing your wedding ring goes well with your personality and style. That’s because atthe end of the day, it’s your wedding ring, and you should be styling it the way you want. Period. What actually matters is the statement – wearing your love on your sleeve. Having said that, in this article, I’ll answer some of the general questions that haunt newlyweds as regards how to wear a wedding ring. Let’s quickly start with the basics first. Which is the ring finger and what’s its symbolism? The ring finger is the one that’s next to the smallest finger of your hand. You might ask now what would be the correct hand to wear your wedding ring? Well, in most western cultures, people wear their wedding rings on the left hand. But in some other cultures, wedding rings are worn on the right hand. So, culture also plays an important role as regards where you wear your wedding ring. The symbolism behind the ring finger – the one on the left hand – dates back to ancient times. Ancient Egyptians believed that the ring finger on the left hand contained a ‘vein of love’ that connected directly to the heart. This passionate symbolism tickled the fancies of them all. The Romans followed this tradition and ever since then wearing a wedding ring on the left hand became popular.

  2. In which finger should you wear your wedding ring? A wedding ring is most commonly worn on the ring finger of the left hand. Still, there’s no hard and fast rule about how to wear a wedding ring. If you want to wear your wedding ring on your right hand, go for it. People who do heavy manual work with their hands don’t wear their wedding rings every day. They prefer wearing a wedding band instead. That’s because the rigors of daily wear can damage the ring. Also, people don’t usually wear their wedding rings while traveling

  3. How should you wear your engagement ring after the wedding ceremony? Well, since the engagement ring is also worn on the ring finger of the left hand, you can switch your engagement ring to the right hand during the wedding ceremony. After the wedding ceremony, you can either continue to wear your engagement ring on the right hand or choose to solder it with your wedding ring. Soldering your engagement ring and wedding ring together can give more of a sophisticated look while turning your statement rings into a unified jewelry piece.

  4. Can a wedding ring be worn on the right hand? There are so many countries where couples wear their wedding rings on the right hand. For instance, in some Middle Eastern and Latin American countries, it’s a tradition to wear the wedding ring on the right hand. As I said, there’s no hard and fast rule for it, if you want to wear your wedding on your right hand, you can do so. Wearing your wedding ring on the right hand is a personal choice. If your partner wants to wear her wedding ring on her right hand, she can do so. Similarly, if you like wearing your wedding ring on your left hand, feel free to do so. The correct way to wear your wedding ring is the one you prefer.

  5. In what order should you wear your wedding ring and engagement ring? Because wedding rings are the closest to the heart, couples like stacking their wedding ring below the engagement ring. But again, you can stack your wedding ring and engagement ring in any order. In which finger do men wear their wedding rings? Both men and women can wear their wedding rings on the ring finger of the left hand. However, it also depends on the culture. For instance, in the United States, men wear their wedding rings on the ring finger of the left hand, whereas, in some other cultures, men wear their wedding rings on the right ring finger.

  6. The bottom line From enlightening you about the correct way of wearing your wedding rings to stacking your wedding ring and engagement ring, I’ve tried covering some of the major questions regarding how to wear an engagement ring and wedding band. When it comes to wearing your wedding ring, or engagement ring for that matter, you can try as many ways of wearing it as you want. But genuinely, there’s no need for doing that. You should just wear your wedding ring as you please, why complicate things?
