  1. Ricta Clouds 92a 54mm Ricta Wheels Clouds White / Black Skateboard Wheels – 54mm 92a (Set of 4) The Ricta Clouds series addresses cracks, rocks, rough terrain, and basically any spot in Jersey. I was looking for a new wheel after burning through my spitfire 52mm classics in a month. There’s something about Spitfire’s that after a month, they get yellow and mushy. No knocking Spitfire’s stranglehold on the industry, but let’s face it, the wheels turn yellow, son. I did my research on the smoothest wheel durometer. Something that smooth (anything under 86a is considered soft wheels) should be used by skateboard photographers and pool riders. As for me, I’ll be skating the crusted streets of New Jersey. My criteria for the perfect New Jersey Skate Wheel: Highly durable Not too wide Smooth ride, yet… Gives on slides Can hold a snap Feels stiff not mushy Grips and rips I found that Oj’s and Ricta had exactly what I was looking for. I’m not going to talk about the Oj’s though. I didn’t buy them. The reason why was because the clouds were hands down the better wheel. I mean look at these bad babies, they’re fucking tough: Ricta Clouds Video I tried to find a super shitty walkway to show you guys how well this wheel rides over cracks, rocks, acorns, all that. I’d like for you to just listen to the sound of the wheel. That wheel rides like a filmer boards wheel, yet sounds like a harder stiff wheel. Turns are tight and concise. Pop is not sacrificed with the softness of this wheel. I give this wheel an overall rating of 9.5. the only thing holding it back is that it may not be for you. If you like hard wheels go with 100d durometer wheels. Or go back to the skatepark.
