HN Summary

The latest summary from TTC, ITU-T, and ETSI highlights significant advancements in HN standards since the last GSC meeting, including G.hn and G.hnem. The convergence of telecom, power, and consumer electronics (CE) in the Smart Grid is projected to foster a new ecosystem of products, necessitating international cooperation among SDOs. Key focuses include energy efficiency, Quality of Service (QoS), and DECT standards. Next steps involve TTC's research on network middleware, with ITU-T playing a pivotal role in facilitating convergence and ETSI advocating improved technical coordination.
