  2. On May 4,1929, Audrey Kathleenvan Heemstra Ruston is bornin Brussels to a Dutch mother, Ella van Heemstra, andBritish father, Joseph Hepburn-Ruston.

  3. Her parents divorced during Audrey’s early childhood and she was sent to a girl’s school near London. Audrey lived with her mother, but was soon relocated once WW II broke out. Audrey andher mother moved back to Netherlands in a city called Arhem where she studied dance at the Arhem conservatory.

  4. After the war, Audrey went to London on a ballet scholarship. There she began landing modelingassignments, which later led to acting roles.

  5. In the later 50’s, Audrey attended Felix Aylmer’s acting classes and began playing parts in small British movies.In the following years ,she became more and more famous.
