  21. Our Strategy

  22. BNSFL Strategy • Become the leading transportation services provider serving North American clients here and around the world. • Industrial Products as a core point of differentiation • Consumer Products as a US domestic organic strategy with International Import/Export services to mid market clients • Continued N.A. geographic expansion of Branch Network • Invest & Acquire N.A. capability within targeted IP verticals • Collaborate with Global Service Partners to serve North American Multi-Nationals worldwide

  23. Why? • The Consumer Product market is commoditized. • US market is dominated by foreign nationals that do not have strong Intra-N.A. multi-modal capabilities which creates an opening to position ourselves as the N.A. leader in multi-modal logistics services. • DHL Global Forwarding (Bracknell, U.K.) • Agility Logistics (Sulaibia, Kuwait) • DB Schenker (Essen, Germany) • Panalpina (Basel, Switzerland) • Kuehne + Nagel (Schindellegi, Switzerland) • IP General/Project Cargo is fragmented, less commoditized and ripe for a dominant US player with a multi-modal solution Major competitors. Plus, CHRW acquired Phoenix (Primarily a CP focused Co.)

  24. Why Industrial Products? • Capitalizes on the Industrial Renaissance • Capitalizes on explorations in energy, renewables, mining & chemicals • North America is a major global player • Operates with balance of trade on imports & exports • Heaviest concentration: Americas, Western Europe, & BRIC • Involves multi-modal solutions: ground, rail, ocean & air • Strategic intersect with Rail • Fits industrial brand & image Expected to double over the next 5 years with Asia leading the path

  25. Thank You!
