About Capa. . . • Robert Capa was born on October 22, 1913 and died on May 25, 1954. • He was born into a Jewish family, his parents were tailors. • He started studies in journalism at the German Political College, but the Nazi Party instituted restrictions on Jews and prohibited them from colleges.

  3. Type of photography • He was a war photographer, he covered five different wars (the Spanish Civil War, 2nd Sino-Japanese War, World War II across Europe, the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, and the 1st Indochina War).

  4. In 1938, when he was only 25 years old, the British magazine Picture Post had the confidence to call him "The Greatest War-Photographer in the World."

  5. Capa was known to say, "If your pictures aren't good enough, you aren't close enough." • He risked his life so many times to get the best pictures.

  6. “Death of a Loyalist Militiaman” • This Picture was considered by Capa 'The best picture I ever took‘. • It’s one of the most well-known in the history of photojournalism. • It’s a picture of a soldier who got shot during the Spanish Civil War.
