Work with reduced budgets
Increase completion rates
Maintain high pass rates- national exams
Provide equal access
Optimize time on wait lists
Increase diversity in the health care work force- to more similarly reflect ethnic populations
Work with reduced budgets
Increase training completion rates (early 1990’s, rate ~ 85%; now decreased to 73 – 80%; some programs as low as 50% completion rate)
Maintain high pass rates- national registry exams
Provide equal access- avoid disproportionately barring access to any ethnic group (to training programs)
Optimize time on wait lists- students must wait ~ 2 yrs to enter some impacted training programs; that time needs to be well utilized preparing to enter training programs
