Model of Integrating Vocational education with conventional education • The model has seven levels of certification • Vocational Education will start from 9th class • And will continue up till the final year of graduation. • At various levels there is a lateral entry and a lateral exit • At various levels of exit the student will get a certificate in hand • Which qualifies him for that particular level /Diploma/advanced diploma/degree

  3. Suggested credits

  4. SKP Skill knowledge provider • Trainers or SKP (Skill knowledge provider) to registered with AICTE or other authorized bodies(Sector Skill Council and NSDC) for imparting skill • A student registers with ….. • AICTE approved SKP • Or vocational institutes Providing diploma or degree • Or vocational Institute affiliated with technical Board or university • Or Institutes affiliated with Sector skill councils • Student completes skill module at various levels • gets necessary credits at each level from SKP • Credits get transferred to Technical Board or University • Get compiled with the general educational credits • And certificate is awarded for that level

  5. Who will assess? • Who will assess and certify the vocational training ? • Sector Skill Councils under National skill Development Corporation are prepared and equipped to Certify Vocational trainings. • The assessments will be done by third party assessing bodies approved by SSC

  6. National Skill Development Corporation • NSDC has 32 approved Sector Skill Councils • Which are affiliating various training partners • Who are giving trainings as per NOS ( National Occupational Standards) and Qualification packs(QP) aligned with National skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) • In total there are 2247 NOS and 893 QPs prepared by various sector skill councils • 10 lac certifications have already been done by SScs in the last one yr.

  7. SSC Status Certification Delivered 10,00,000 +

Certification • Candidate may enter the job market after each certification levels full time or part time • And may continue vocational training to achieve his required credits • And upgrade his certification level • Lateral entry and exit will be possible at any level • A general candidate can switch over to vocational training provided he bridges the gap by acquiring required skill set from the SKP.
