  2. Who was involved in the “Trojan war”? The Greeks/Trojans who were involved in the Trojan war : Agamemnon (Mycenae), Achilles , Menelaus (Sparta), Odysseus ( Ithaca ), Ajax the Greater and Ajax the Lesser, Helen, Diomedes (Argos) - Trojans: King Priam, Hector, Paris, Andromache, Diephobus, Cassandra, all the gods and goddesses.

  3. Where was the “Trojan war” held? The Trojan War was waged against the city of Troy by the Greeks. Troy was a city, both factual and legendary, located in northwest Anatolia which now is called Turkey.

  4. What was the “Trojan war”? The people didn’t know (and still don’t know) whether the Trojan War was a mythological or a real event. The Trojan war is among the most important events according to the Greeks. Trojan War was the greatest war in Greek mythology and literature. Often people accept 1194-1184 BC. In 1870, German archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann make an area which He identified as Troy (in Turkey). However, whether there is an real historicity to the Trojan War remains still an open question. Although most people believe that the Trojan War was a real war, it is difficult to place an actual date on it. Most agree, however, that it occurred during a 10-year period, around 1250 BC.

  6. Why did the Trojan war happen? The cause of the Trojan War went back to the Judgment of Paris according to some people. Paris, the Prince of Troy (Which was in Turkey), was asked to judge among three goddesses who was the most beautiful. The three goddesses were Athena, Hera and Aphrodite. For choosing Aphrodite, he was given as a prize the most beautiful human woman in the world. The people disagreed and the war begun.
