  1. welcome to Welcome to Camp Zoneat Southern Highlands Preparatory School Camp Zone®is offering a fun-filled and educational summer program that is prepared especially for preschool children ages 2-5. Here at Southern Highlands Preschool our campers are invited to join us on the “Camp Zone Express” to a literacy rich journey through the distinctive works of some of our favorite authors. In reading books by authors like Jan Brett, Graeme Base, Leo Lionni, Janell Cannon we will explore topics including, the forest, wild animals, mysteries, the circus, sci-fi fun, patriotism, and much, much more! Every week campers will examine a new theme and will become familiar with a new author! Throughout the nine weeks of Camp Zone parents will have several opportunities to participate in family activities. For Yankee Doodle Dandy week families are invited to join us for a picnic. During The Greatest Show on Earth theme parents can come to the classroom to watch campers perform their circus acts! We will offer a story time to hear some of Shel Silverstein’s wild and wacky poems. Families can also look forward to making a visit to our Sci-Fi Museum as each classroom will have exhibits that make you feel like you have gone to “infinity and beyond”! To help beat the heat, campers will be involved in a water day every week as well as regular visits to the upper school gymnasium.
