  2. “Not that I have obtained this or already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.” Philippians 3:12

  3. 1. The mature seek greater peace.

  4. “Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.” 2 Peter 3:14

  5. “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself or in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any blemish.”Ephesians 5:25-27

  6. “Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14

  7. 2.The mature grow in wisdom.

  8. “And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters...”

  9. “There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures...”

  10. “You therefore, beloved knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability.”2 Peter 3:15-17

  11. 3. The mature grow in grace.

  12. “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity, Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18

  13. Communion: “As they were eating, Jesus took a loaf of bread and asked God’s blessing on it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, ‘Take it, for this is my body.’” Mark 14:22

  14. “And he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. He gave it to them, and they drank from it...”

  15. “And he said to them, ‘This is my blood, poured out for many, sealing the covenant between God and his people. I solemnly declare that I will not drink wine again until that day when I drink it new in the Kingdom of God.’”Mark 14:23-25
