A labour union is a group of workers who work together for the benefits of workers in terms of working conditions and pay and deal with with business owners. The unions represent the workers in a particular field or different workers of various sectors, doing the same type of work. How Unions works? The unions usually use the method of collective bargaining to come to an agreement. It is a process of negotiation between the group of workers and employers assisting to reach agreements. Different factors such as working conditions, benefits, interests of employees and worker’s compensation play a vital role. Advantages of unions ● Increased wages: ​The unions compare the wages offered, with the industry standards and negotiate with employers. Labour contracts give the opportunity to forecast the future costs of operation. Skilled & Steady workforce: ​The unions in the organizations are liable to assure the properly trained and stable workplace. Unions have their own training programs for betterment of employees.
