Exercise 1 (Volume) • Turn to a nearby partner and say the following: • “Excuse me, where is the bathroom?” • Now turn to someone across the room and ask the same question. • What do you notice about your volume?
Exercise 2 (Eye Contact) • Pair up • Face each other • Look the other person in the eye for 10 seconds • Do this without smiling or laughing
Exercise 3 (Gestures) • Turn to your partner and introduce yourself. • Explain why you want to go to college/join the military/get a job after high school for one minute. • Switch • Did you use any hand motions naturally ? • What where your hands doing while you spoke?
