FIVE NATURAL WAYS TO REDUCE ANXIETY

If you suffer from anxiety issues, then you understand there are no “one

size fits all” approaches to solving your feelings. Unfortunately, those who

cannot relate to you are likely to try and discount your feelings of panic or

agitation. They also may advise you to take a prescription to try and cope as

best you can, and if you decide that is the best route for you, then do it.

But if you have a more manageable level of anxiety and are willing to save a

little dough if it works, we have for you five natural ways to reduce anxiety

(most of which you may not expect).

Get Movin’!

This solution may be a bit obvious, but it is one of the fastest effective

options that you’ve got to address anxiety quickly. Everyone loves a runner’s

high, but most don’t want to do the work to get there. Well, you’re in luck.

Although more active exercise is much more likely to give you higher levels

of dopamine, studies show that non-strenuous activity will still increase your

dopamine levels from where they’re at when you’re resting.

Treating anxiety with the world of technology. No need to pull out a dusty,

old joke book off the shelf; if you’re looking to have a few laughs and choose

from a variety of types of comedy, sit on the couch and go to Netflix. If you

are available to hang with your best friend or someone else who can make

you laugh, then that’s also a good option. But if you’re by yourself and

needing relief, choose your favorite stand-up comic and let them distract you

our list today. A practice dating back to ancient times in Japan, and we’re

not talking about an actual naked bath. When you’re feeling stressed,

overwhelmed, anxious, grab your earbuds and get out of the house. If it’s an

option, visit a city park or a wooded area with a pathway to feel the effects

of forest bathing. The beauty of nature and the solitude has been known to

work wonder for those suffering from anxiety.
