  1. All About Lip Injections Lip injections, also known as fillers, are a type of lip augmentation that are known to be the fastest way to create volume in your lips and reduce lines around your mouth. Lip augmentation is a cosmetic procedure that helps you get fuller and plumper lips. Lip injections involve a cosmetic surgeon injecting a dermal filler to plump up your lips. Sometimes these types of dermal fillers are called hyaluronic acid fillers, and there are innumerable different substances used in the injection. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body. It helps increase volume in the lips. Lip fillers are minimally invasive treatments that treat moderate to severe face wrinkles as well as smoothing lines around the mouth. Any lip injection will be customized according to the client but most of the procedures would last about an hour.

There are three main types of lip injections to choose from: Restylane This is a hyaluronic acid filler with a high affinity for water. This means that it is essentially good at retaining moisture in the lips. It has high G prime elasticity, which means that it has the great ability of giving definition and lift to the lips. It also has high viscosity, which means that it can maintain the shape of the lips. The lips, after being injected with this substance, feel more natural and firm on touch, in comparison to the Juvederm substance. It has about 1 percent of cross linking to hyaluronic acid chains, which is all about how long it will last, which is about 6 – 9 months. Juvederm Ultra XC This substance hasa higher concentration of hyaluronic acid than Restylane and Volbella (the next filler in the list). The G prime in this is lower than Restyane and Volbella means it gives a softer feel and a more horizontal spread in direction. It tends to last longer thanks to a larger percent of cross-linking because of its Hylacross technology. It is said to last from nine months to one year. It tends to last longer thanks to a more significant percentage of cross-linking because of its Hylacross technology. It is said to last from nine months to one year. JuvedermVolbella This is the newest of the lip plumpers in the market these days. It has the lowest presence of hyaluronic acid and the lowest relation to water. It gives a subtle volume augmentation which allows the lips to look soft and natural. Though the results are less dramatic, it still doesn’t mean they diminish quickly. One can expect the results to last up to a year. The Vycross technology increases the longevity by mixing different lengths of hyaluronic acids chains, increasing it stability. 4. Which filler is the best for who? You need to leave the choice of the best filler for you up to the medical practitioner. However, there are some suggestions that can be considered. Older patients are better off with Restylane and Volbella, whereas younger patients do better with Juvederm. Lip injections can be a good and a worthwhile decision for a lot of people. But before you get into it, it is better thatyou do your research and speak to your cosmotologist. Molly edit: You need to leave the choice of the best filler for you up to the medical practitioner.
