Conclusions • DIAL/DIAL formation flight comparisons: - Falcon/P-3: 19 May (~ 9 minutes) and 07 June (~ 10 minutes) • DIAL/DIAL profile/profile: - no P-3/DC-8 - Falcon/DC-8: 7 profiles - Falcon/P-3: 3 additional profiles • DIAL/ground-based SRL: many profiles available • DIAL/ground-based CARL: - P-3 and DC-8: max. 3 profiles each on 27.5. and 2.6., resp. • DIAL/dropsondes, DIAL/AERI ??? IHOP Workshop

  18. Outlook • Several comparisons of DIAL systems available to investigate systematic errors • Large amount of data available to specify noise errors and the effects of atmospheric inhomogeneities for WALES • Cases selected, data intercomparison ongoing! IHOP Workshop
