  4. Expected Outcomes of Scholarship of Engagement Team • Develop recommendations in a report, and appropriate products to address each of the three expected outcomes Scholarship of Engagement

  5. Develop online and coaching guidance for documenting and preparing evidence of the scholarship of engagement. I. Scholarship of Engagement Evidence Developed to Benefit Faculty

  6. Plan and implement appropriate dialogue with department heads (& others) regarding the acceptable evidence for the scholarship of engagement during annual performance reviews, promotion, and/or tenure. I. Scholarship of Engagement Evidence Developed to Benefit Faculty

  7. Develop recommended appropriate strategies and products that will enable acceptance of the evidence scholarly engagement across colleges, departments, & units. These may include ongoing faculty development opportunities, a toolkit with examples, peer coaching, and online resources. I. Scholarship of Engagement Evidence Developed to Benefit Faculty

  8. Collaborate with Michigan State to develop institutional performance indicators that will showcase university wide engagement scholarship (Delaware Study). Develop recommendations for NCSU’s implementation. II. Scholarship of Engagement Institutional Performance Indicators

Review the current language being used within university institutional research offices, and budget offices to track engagement. • Make appropriate recommendations to strengthen visibility of engaged scholarship, and engagement programs, and differentiate them from service, professional development, or committee work. III. Institutional Categories for Engagement (Funding, Grants, Contracts, & Mission Areas)
