  • Farming which is done in an environmentally sensitive manner is a good neighbor for fish.
  • The goal is to use incentives to maintain viability of local farming while encouraging environmentally sensitive farming practices.
  • Three initiatives to accomplish the goal:
    • Improving farming’s bottom line
    • Keeping farmland in farming; and
    • Protecting and restoring fish habitat
