  5. Submission Guidelines • Challenge Academy (CA) • An alternative education program held at the Challenge Academy. • The general education or alternative education teacher teaches all students alternative curriculum within the Challenge Academy. • The monitoring educator from your district assigns a grade earned value of "exempt" for all students and a completion status value of "not applicable“. • The monitoring educator from your district reports all students through CWCS. • Competency-Based and Project-Based (CBPB) • An alternative education program held in an alternative education classroom. • The general education or alternative education teacher teaches all students general curriculum (competency based or project based) in the subject area the general education teacher is licensed to teach. • The general education or alternative education teacher assigns grades and reports all student through CWCS. • High school credits may not apply for an alternative education program that is competency based or project based (CBPB).

Submission Guidelines • GED Option #2 (GEDO2) • An alternative education program held in an alternative education classroom. • The general or alternative education teacher teaches all students general curriculum the teacher is licensed to teach. • The general or alternative education teacher assigns grades and completion status for all students. • The general or alternative education teacher reports all students through CWCS. • 118.15 Contracts (HSED) or High School Education Diploma • An alternative education program held at a the CESA, technical college, or Community Based Organization (CBO). • The CESA, technical college, or CBO teacher teaches all students general education development (GED) curriculum within the CESA, technical college, or CBO setting. • The CESA, technical college, or CBO teacher does not assign numeric grade earned values to students in HSED programs. The grade earned value should equal "NA“. A completion status should be assigned. • Your district monitoring educator reports all students through CWCS.

Submission Guidelines • 118.15 Contracts (2) (HSC) High School Credit • This is modified general curriculum held in a technical college, or a district classroom. • The technical college teacher teaches at risk students modified general curriculum. • The technical college teacher assigns grades and completion status to all students. • The district's monitoring educator reports all students through CWCS. • Students who are enrolled in high school classes taught by the technical college for high school credit. • Jail or Detention (JD) • This is the alternative education program held at the district jail or detention center. • The alternative or general education teacher teaches all students general curriculum within the jail or detention center setting. • The alternative or general education teacher from your district assigns a grade earned value and a completion status value to all students. • The general education teacher from your district reports all students through CWCS.

Submission Guidelines • MPS Partnership Schools (PS) • This is the alternative education program operated by community based programs as a partnership school under contract with Milwaukee Public Schools for at-risk youth in grades 6 – 12. • The general education teacher teaches all students general curriculum in the subject the general education teacher is licensed to teach. • The general education teacher from the partnership school assigns grades and completion statuses to all students. • The partnership school from your district reports all students through CWCS. • Not Applicable • This program is not associated with an Alternative Education Program.

Submission Guidelines • Computer Aided Instruction • Alt Ed Code is set to not applicable (NA) • This is alternative education held in an alternative education or general education classroom for credit. • The curriculum is offered on-line or through computer aided instruction (NovaNet, Plato, E2020, etc.) with the general or alternative education teacher facilitating instruction in the general curriculum the teacher is licensed to teach. • The general or alternative education teacher assigns grades and completion status for all students. • The general or alternative education teacher reports all students through CWCS. • Alt Ed offered for Credit • Alt Ed Code is set to not applicable (NA) • This is an alternative education held in an alternative education classroom for credit. • The general or alternative education teacher teaches all students general curriculum the teacher is licensed to teach. • The general or alternative education teacher assigns grades and completion status for all students. • The general or alternative education teacher reports all students through CWCS.
