  1. Sachin Tendulkar Praises Jasprit Bumrah, Says He Has Brains Former Indian cricketr and batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar has applauded Jasprit Bumrah and the rest of the Indian pace attack for putting a exceptional bowling display against England at Lord’s. Tendulkar has said that Bumrah not only has a big heart but also has brains too. Image source by twitter Bumrah made headlines on day five of the Lord’s Test. He received a lot of bouncers from England pacers after he bowled a few to James Anderson on day three as well. England bowlers and Joss Buttler also said that few words to Bumrah, which eventually made him for frustrated too. Notably, he along with Mohammed Shami showed a great performance and shared an unbeaten 89-run stand for the ninth wicket and put India into a commanding position as well. Tendulkar praised Bumrah for doing good in the ongoing Test series against England after playing a rather forgettable World Test Championship Final against New Zealand in Southampton. “I felt before the WTC final, Bumrah didn’t have enough long spells under his belt. He is the kind of bowler who is like the more he bowls, the better he gets. He doesn’t only have a big heart but also has brains and we saw that yesterday when he outsmarted Ollie Robinson with a brilliant slower ball to dismiss him after peppering him with a few short balls,” Sachin told PTI when he was asked what may have changed for Bumrah between the Lord’s Test and the WTC final. Sachin Tendulkar, further, shared the difference between the bowling eras of Kapil Dev, Javagal Srinath and Zaheer Khan.

I don’t like comparisons across eras because bowling attacks should also be judged by batters who are batting against them. Be it during Kapil’s or Srinath’s or Zaheer’s generation, there were different batsmen facing them,” added Tendulkar.
