Former New Zealand player Scott Styris has said that Punjab Kingsu2019 middle-order player Shahrukh Khan can aspire to become a dependable finisher like Hardik Pandya in the future. However, he also said that we should just let him play as per his skill and develop at his own speed.

Shahrukh Khan Can Aspire To Be Like Hardik Pandya, Claims Scott Styris Former New Zealand player Scott Styris has said that Punjab Kings’ middle-order player Shahrukh Khan can aspire to become a dependable finisher like Hardik Pandya in the future. However, he also said that we should just let him play as per his skill and develop at his own speed. Notably, Shahrukh Khan was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs. 5.25 crore during IPL 2021 mini-auction. However, Shahrukh Khan couldn’t manage a big knock in IPL 2021 so far but in few matches what he has played, he successfully scored for Punjab Kings in the death overs. So far, Khan has scored 103 runs in 5 innings at an average of 34 while batting at lower middle-order as well. Even, in one match, he fell 3 runs short from his half-century. And, Scott Styris said that he does not want to compare Khan with Kieron Pollard and stated that Shahrukh Khan can aspire to become like Hardik Pandya as well. “I don’t want to compare anyone with Kieron Pollard, he’s 6 foot 5, he’s huge. Shahrukh Khan is a big guy as well. Maybe he can look to aspire to be like Hardik Pandya. I’ve seen a lot of Shahrukh Khan because of my commentary days with the Tamil Nadu Premier League and he was a powerful striker of the ball in that league,” Scott Styris said.
