  1. Dinesh Karthik Opens Up On Siraj’s Celebration After Dismissing A Batsman Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik has said that it was unnecessary by the speedster Mohammed Siraj to shush batsmen after taking wickets during the Nottingham Test against England. Karthik felt that he had already won the battle and it wasn’t required to do the antics as well. Image source by twitter Siraj is known for his aggressive nature since making his Test debut in Australia. Everyone loved his bowling and attitude as well but Karthik found his antics against Jonny Bairstow unnecessary as he felt he shouldn’t have done that after dismissing. Notably, Siraj gave Bairstow a send-off by putting his finger on his lip after dismissing him in the second innings of the first Test as well. “I do feel it was unnecessary for Siraj to shush batsmen after dismissing them. You have already won the battle, why resort to this? That’s one learning for Siraj early in his international career,” Karthik wrote in The Telegraph. “How many of us would have imagined Virat Kohli stepping in to calm an excitable team-mate down? Much to everyone’s amusement, the mercurial Indian captain was forced to act swiftly at Trent Bridge to ensure Mohammed Siraj didn’t cross the line.” Karthik, who is currently in England as a commentator for the series, admits that he loves the attitude of Indian cricketers, who aren’t afraid of getting engaged in verbal duals.

This is new-age India, armed with the license to bring out its personality,” he further added. “Aggression manifests itself in different ways. For some like Virat, Siraj and Rahul, it could be open and in-your-face. I can’t see senior batsmen Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Ajinkya Rahane singing that tune, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t aggressive.” Follow Cricadium Stats, Latest Cricket News, Live Cricket Score, Fantasy Tips, Dream11 and Today Match Prediction Stay updated Indian Cricket Teamwith all the cricketing roster, records, history & action.
