  1. Boost Your Health Meter With Protein Bars The one thing that is making waves in the health supplements market are nutrition bars. These bars are easy to obtain, easy to carry and easy to eat at any time of the day. But are they good for you and when should you have them? It all boils down to one thing – nutritional supplement. We all know what nutrition is. It is the basic sum of all the intake of proteins, vitamins, amino acids, minerals etc., that we acquire from various food sources. The culmination of all these makes us healthy and keeps us fit. That being said, it is rarely the case we get all the nutrients our body needs every day. In a world where time is a luxury not everybody can attain, it is important that we don’t miss out on daily nutrients. The ideal thing would be to have 3-4 full meals a day with enough varieties to get all the required nutrients but that is not always possible. Most people skip meals because of busy schedule, lifestyle choices or for following specific diets. When that happens, there is a deficiency in your daily intake of nutrients and a nutritional supplement is required. This is where bars like nutrition and protein bars come into the picture. Protein bars are frequently used by sportsperson or those who are working out. This is because before or after a workout protein bar is generally recommended and used. The protein in the bar provides the much needed energy to carry on your workout and exercises. It also provides the post-workout nutrition the body needs to recover, heal and build new muscle tissue. Providing enough necessary nutrients helps in maximising the workout routine. Amino acids present in protein bars provide the building blocks that is needed to repair miniscule muscle tears that happens during the course of a workout. Since protein bars provides the much needed nourishment, it is also used as a substitute for meals or whole foods. Although it is not advised to be taken as a substitute, protein bars work well as a buffer between heavy meals. You can keep a few of these bars with you at all times and gobble it up whenever hunger strikes. This makes it extremely popular with sportsperson and office goers as well. Working on deadlines and working late nights? A bar will keep your hunger sated till you’re home. For people who are into weight loss, such high protein bars help in controlling your diet and reduce calories. That being said, nutrition and protein bars should not be taken as meal replacements as they do not have all the nutrients and antioxidants that are found in whole grains and fresh fruits & vegetables. Today, most of these bars come in different flavours like peanut butter, chocolate etc to suit your sweet tooth cravings. The protein bar price varies from brand to brand and on the additional contents in it. Make sure the bar you choose has less sugar and more protein content. Additionally, depending on the reason you need a protein bar can be factored in before choosing one.
