Flexibility of lighting  • Professors wanted to be able to not turn off lights • They were used to 10 year old 2200 lumen projectors • BRIGHT PROJECTORS • We considered using Epson's dual bulb projector, but decided the 5650 was good enough. • Worked with the lighting company get the best presets on the light switches -- but still have it be easy • Some professors wanted lights to automatically adjust when projector turned on, but obviously couldn't agree what the lights should do.

  9. Difficult to mess up • Volume goes to 80% whenever input is switched • No 90 minute timeout (instead turn off based on signal) • No built in computer

RapidRun Cables Pros: Cables are easy to run through walls No soldering ports High quality Good guidance on distance limitations/mitigation Plenum cables available Available from amazon/random internet vendors (not just crestron/extron/etc vendors) Cons: Cost compared to traditional cables (typical cost per room was roughly $600 for HDMI/VGA+audio/Composite) Less future flexibility compared to Cat6 based balums
