PG level is too high When estimating your VG:PG ratio, keep in mind that almost all flavorings are either entirely made of PG, or largely PG with a little alcohol or VG thrown in for good measure. In most cases, your flavoring amounts should be counted toward PG in your total calculations. If you don't, you'll be underestimating the PG content, and you'll end up with a lot more PG than you planned. While PG is wonderful for retaining flavor, too much of it can induce harshness.

  3. Nicotine - Flavor Combinations Some flavors may vape absolutely good until nicotine is added. The fact that not everyone may be sensitive to a certain flavor-nic combination that is harsh to others makes this one tough to discern. Only trial and error will reveal the truth. With multiple flavors, it's more difficult to figure out which one is the offender, so be methodical and eliminate one at a time.
