Edward the Confessor. Edward the Confessor was the son of the Saxon king who defeated King Cnut 1016. He was crowned king after King Cnut died and his sons the throne onto Edward the Confessor. Edward the Confessor died in 1066.

Edward the Confessor • Edward the Confessor was the son of the Saxon king who defeated King Cnut 1016. • He was crowned king after King Cnut died and his sons the throne onto Edward the Confessor. • Edward the Confessor died in 1066. • He didn’t have any children and his only nephew was only 14, and too young to take the throne.
