Patient Access to Clincial Information on the Web: PatCIS

PatCIS is a system that provides patients with access to their own limited health records, the ability to add data to their records, access to general health information, and patient-specific advice. It aims to improve decision-making, provide timely clinical information, enhance the content of electronic medical records, educate patients, automate decision support, and improve communication with healthcare providers. However, potential risks include misinterpretation of data, entry of erroneous data, misinformation from online sources, and false decision support.
