Neat Tips & Tricks

On the toolbar under “Enhance” you can:

  • Sharpen a poorly lit picture – To easily adjust lighting, select levels, select the white pen and then click on something white in your picture – WOW!

  • To take the yellow out of a picture – adjust color > select adjust Hue/Saturation > select yellow >lower the saturation level.

Saving pictures for the web l.jpg
Saving Pictures for the Web

  • Image > Resize > Image size > Resolution > 72 for Web

  • File > Save for Web

  • Your goal is to get the smallest file size that still looks good so your pictures load quickly

    (Tip: Use optimized color palette)

Saving pictures for print l.jpg
Saving Pictures for Print

  • For Print, pictures should have a resolution of at least 300 ppi.

  • It is much easier to take away resolution than to add it!(don’t do this unless absolutely necessary, it’s not pretty)

  • Start with a high resolution picture unless you know it will not be needed for print.
