  1. Some safety tips when boating with children It is the responsibility of parents to take care of their children, whether they are on the ground, at home or in the school. But do you know what major steps you need to take when you along with your children go for a boat outing? Read on to know about boating safety tip that should be every time into practice when children are on board your boat. You can ask your boat or Yacht broker Andratx about some other safety tips to protect children while boating. 1. Wear a life jacket: It is not compulsory in many states laws but is very much important to wear while on the water. Before going for boating, be sure that the life jacket is suitable for the boater’s size and weight. 2. Keep your mobile phone handy: Remember to charge and pack your electronic items in a waterproof case for emergencies. 3. Keep an eye on your children always: Keep an eye always on your children when on the boat, even if they wear a life jacket. Do have a look what are they doing, they are safe or not? 4. Apply sunscreen: Use sunscreen with SPF 25 and apply it on your children’s body. For the best results, apply sunscreen before 30 minutes of going outdoors. Don’t use it on your eyes as it will be painful for your children. Don’t forget to apply it on nose, lips, tops of feet and ears. 5. Bring refreshments: Being on the water can dehydrate both children and adults so it is compulsory to take some drinks or water with you. 6. Wear sunglasses: Using sunglasses in water will protect your eyes from harmful UV rays. These harmful rays can lead to cataracts problem. Keep blankets and dry towels to cover your children when the sun goes down or to get well from swimming the cool water. You can buy your own boat also. Contact a boat or Yacht broker Andratx for hiring or purchasing a boat. And ask him other detail related to the things which you need to take before going for boating.
