Who Is Eligible, Who Is Not Eligible For Opt-Out Aggregation • Ameren’s Utility customers who are located within the municipality’s geographical boundaries and are either: • Residential customers receiving electric service from Ameren Illinois on electricity service rate (DS)-1. • Small Commercial retail customers consuming 15,000 KWH or less annually on a calendar basis. • Residents who get their electricity from Co-ops are not affected.

Even If Approved, You Can Still Choose To Opt-Out, Without Penalty Opt-Out Steps Overview: • The selected ARES and the corporate authority or county board will agree upon the format of the Opt-Out notice prior to mailing residential and small business customers. • The selected ARES will mail Opt-Out notices to all eligible customer service classes. • Recipients will have at least nineteen (19) days from the postmark on the notice to return notice to selected ARES if they want to be removed from the Program. • Recipients will be able to Opt-Out by returning an Opt-Out card via U.S. Mail to the selected ARES. • The ARES will offer a toll-free phone number and website to aid recipients with the notice and the Opt-Out procedure. Further support will be provided by the Consultant through a link on the website http://www.AffordableElectricRates.com. • Additionally, residential and small businesses that do not Opt-Out, per step 4 above, will receive written notification from Ameren stating that they are about to be switched. Ameren defines this as a Letter of Rescission. • The Letter of Rescission will inform the participant that they have five (5) days to rescind the contract by contacting Ameren. The selected Supplier will not enroll those accounts Opting-Out of Program
