  4. Middle School Athletic Program Focus • The middle school athletic program is focused on providing students with the opportunity to compete interscholastically with equally talented students throughout Coweta County Schools. We will accomplish this goal by promoting academic excellence, positive attitudes and behavior, high self-esteem, school spirit, and good sportsmanship. • INTEGRITY: Each participant should display the highest level of honesty in academics and athletics. When our actions are above reproach, our integrity will never be questioned. • SCHOLARSHIP: All participants are expected to maintain high scholastic standards. They are expected to give the same effort in their academic work as in athletics. • CITIZENSHIP: An important aspect of an education is learning to practice good citizenship. This goal is achieved each time our students show the proper respect for the American Flag and National Anthem at the appropriate time. • COURTESY: Building on our pillar of pride in our community, our students should be respectful to their teachers, parents, visiting teams, school visitors, and friends. • GROWTH: Achieving the above objectives will bring our students to one of the main tenets of attending middle school - growing mentally, physically, and behaviorally. Coaches are instrumental in providing proper guidance that helps maintain an environment that lends itself to facilitating positive growth and skill development among our students.
