2. What is a Weekly World Watch? The idea is simple. It is to look at current events and compare them to events spoken of in the Bible. . I hope to build up a picture of God’s hand working in the affairs of this world. God is bringing about a day when all nations will be gathered to Jerusalem to battle. At that time God will send His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, back to this earth. Jesus will then establish God’s kingdom on earth. This kingdom will last for ever. This is our hope and the reason we watch. The following six themes will appear repeatedly in WWW: • Israel: The continuing conflict in the Middle East and focus on Jerusalem. • Europe: Its developing union, both political and religious. • Russia: Its return to anti-Western ways as Bible prophecy’s “king of the north.” • The UK and the US: Bible prophecy’s “king of the south.” • Moral standards in decline and violence on the increase. • Increasing natural disasters: including earthquake, famine etc WWW presentations in PowerPoint can be ordered as audio/visual CDs by clicking here. 3. BIBLE QUOTE What is in a Weekly World Watch? Each WWW looks at a few key developments that have happened during the past week. It is in no way meant to be exhaustive – just a look at those events I saw as significant from a Biblical point of view. Every WWW event slide has the following format. To reveal each block of text just left click your mouse or press the space bar. You control when it appears. News Photo This is straight from a news report that caught my eye because it looked significant from a Biblical perspective, usually that of prophecy. HEADLINE The source of the headline and the date are included. This is the reporter’s description of the event. It is always a direct quotation from the news report and reflects the understanding of the reporter and editors. EVENT This is my comment on why the event is interesting to a Bible student. We are one step much closer now to the greatest day – the return of our Lord. • Leave wins, Brexit is happening, David Cameron resigns Daily Telegraph, June 24, 2016 We are leaving the EU and Brexit is happening. Vote Leave confounded the polls and experts and surged to a victory that has sent shockwaves around the world. Nigel Farage, the leader of Ukip and key figure in the Leave camp, hailed the result as Britain's "independence day". The Prime Minister has announced his resignation, stating that he is not the "captain" that will steer the ship through difficult negotiations with the EU. In an emotional address flanked by a tearful Samantha Cameron, he insisted the British people's will must be respected after voters chose to leave the 28-nation European Union. "I think it's right that this new prime minister takes the decision about when to trigger Article 50," he said. EVENT Well we said in last week’s WWW that this could be a momentous week – and so it has turned out to be. Despite all the polls saying Britain would remain in Europe the people voted 52% to 48% to leave. Amazingly Christadelphians alone have said that Britain would come out of Europe. We are the only religion to correctly identify Tarshish as Britain and in so doing have been given wonderful insight into the plan and purpose of God. In 1848 in Elpis Israel, Bro John Thomas wrote “Britain cannot be included among them..” He was referring to the future resurrected Holy Roman Empire based in Europe. In 1981 Bro Graham Pearce wrote in Milestones “Britain will separate from Europe.” In 1990, Bro Paul Billington wrote in Guardians of Israel & Arabia “Britain’s eventual exit from Europe is a certainty.” How did they know? They knew because the Bible said so. These events are the prelude to much greater events to shortly come. COMMENT BIBLE QUOTE (Daniel 2:17)

This is latter day Tyre – London. Singing as a harlot refers to the accepting the harlot system of Europe and Rome spoken of in Revelation 17. • Massive thunderstorms from EUROPE smash into UK and 'could decide' EU referendum vote Daily Mail, June 23, 2016 With the result in the balance and the polls neck-and-neck, voter turnout could be key in deciding the outcome of the historic vote. But there were fears today that the balance could be tipped by a rare weather event - which has arrived from EUROPE. In London alone the emergency services received more than 300 calls in an hour as more than 6,000 lightning strikes hit. Several polling stations had to be shut and others opened late as flash floods, thunder and lightning ripped across southern Britain. Even Conservative Party campaign headquarters were flooded, with staff being forced to flee. Summer storms almost always hit Britain from the Atlantic, in the west. But eerily, the huge storms smashing the country today swept in almost precisely at Midnight, from the direction of Brussels. Exacta Weather, said: “It is very unusual to see storms of this ferocity coming over from Europe at this time of year.” EVENT Freak storm or God’s hand? You know the answer. God is in control. Many thousands were not able to vote because of this storm. London was in chaos as flooding effected many areas. Remember Hurricane Sandy? God is in control. The Bible is clear that God rules in the kingdoms of men. In Psalm 148:8 we read of “stormy wind fulfilling his word!” Storms fulfil God’s plan and purpose! London voted for remaining in Europe. The fact the storm hit there was surely significant. London is latter Tyre. We are told that ancient Tyre passed over to Tarshish. But we are told latter day Tyre sings like a harlot. And London still does… COMMENT London vote BIBLE QUOTE (Isaiah 23:15-16) UK vote

7. She [latter day Tyre / London] will again be a prostitute to all kingdoms around the world.[joined EU] But in the end her profits will be given to the Lord. [speaking of the future effects of Brexit?] Look! The Lord is about to destroy the earth and make it a vast wasteland. buyers and sellers, lenders and borrowers, bankers and debtors—none will be spared. The earth will be completely emptied and looted. [final judgement of the world] Markets reel as world absorbs shock of UK vote for Brexit Associated Press, June 24, 2016 The U.K.'s unprecedented decision to leave the European Union sent shockwaves through the country and around the world Friday, rocking financial markets, toppling Prime Minister David Cameron and even threatening the ties that bind the United Kingdom. Britons absorbed the overwhelming realization that their anti-establishment vote has pushed the British economy into treacherous and uncertain territory and sparked a profound crisis for a bloc founded to unify Europe after the devastation of World War II. Stock markets plummeted around the world, with key indexes dropping more than 12 percent in Germany and about 8 percent in Japan and Britain. Markets calmed and later recovered some of their losses after Bank of England Governor Mark Carney promised to take "all the necessary steps to prepare for today's events.” The Dow Jones dropped 611 points, or 3.4 percent, its biggest fall since August. EVENT COMMENT So what happens next? The previous slide quoted from Isaiah 23. Tyre, ancient capital city of Phoenicia, passed over to Tarshish. London therefore took on the mantle of Tyre. Tyre was the greatest maritime trading city in ancient times that setup colonies around the then known world. London did exactly the same but on a much greater scale. London even now is the greatest financial trading city in the entire world. Isaiah 23 says that London will become like a harlot and very rich. BUT in the end her profits will be given to the Lord. In other words she will lose her wealth. Brexit could well have a domino effect that sees Europe break apart – and if Europe breaks apart the financial systems could collapse. Amazingly the next chapter speaks of the total financial collapse of the world and God’s final judgement upon mankind… read verses below. BIBLE QUOTE (Isaiah 23:18 – 24:1-3 edited NLT)

The feet and toes you saw were a combination of iron and baked clay, showing that this kingdom will be divided…This mixture of iron and clay also shows that these kingdoms will try to strengthen themselves by forming alliances with each other through intermarriage. But they will not hold together, just as iron and clay do not mix. This is exactly what has happened. • New Europe needed after Brexit 'explosive shock' Reuters, June 24, 2016 EVENT The European Union has suffered an "explosive shock" and must reinvent itself to prevent its break-up and restore the confidence of voters, French leaders said on Friday after Britain voted to quit the bloc. President Francois Hollande must navigate a fine line between tackling French voters' increasing disillusionment with the EU and France's ambition to be in the driving seat alongside the bloc's powerhouse Germany. He said on Friday he would make proposals to ensure the EU moved forward on key remits of security and defence, investment for growth and jobs, and reinforcing the euro zone. But he also insisted it cannot be business as usual for the EU and deep changes must be made. "Europe must be understood and controlled by its citizens. Europe must act quickly where it's needed and must, once and for all, let member states handle what is their exclusive domain," he said in a televised address. There a number of massive implications for Brexit. One is the fact Britain can now be fully aligned to the young lions of Tarshish – more of that on the next slide. But the other is impact this will have on Europe. Many commentators are saying Brexit will cause a domino effect. Other member states will leave. As one MEP said “the whole thing will fall apart. It will happen very soon.” The Bible says it will fall apart but 10 nations will emerge to form a new totally united bloc. Not separate anymore but one nation with one government. But the break-up happens first THEN the 10 kings emerge. Daniel 2 tells us of a divided kingdom. Part iron and part clay. The iron represents the strength of rulership / law. The clay represent the power of the people. We have therefore bureaucracy v democracy. This is what Europe is. It rules with iron (dictates rules for everyone) and yet is weakened by clay (democracy brings it down). COMMENT BIBLE QUOTE (Daniel 2:41-43 NLT)

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. • US jets in showdown with Russian warplanes over Syria Daily Telegraph, June 20, 2016 EVENT Russian and American warplanes confronted one another in the skies above Syria after Moscow bombed an elite force of US-trained rebels. The Pentagon on Friday scrambled F/A-18 fighters to fend off an attack by Moscow's most advanced bombers on moderate opposition fighters it is supporting. When the F/A-18s approached the Russians moved out of the area, but when the US fighters paused to refuel they returned and struck the base again, in what appeared to be a deliberately provocative move. The Russians had been ordered to back off by the US pilots directly using a special communications channel set up to prevent air accidents, but were ignored. Shortly after, US military officials held a video conference with Russia in which they expressed strong concerns about the attack on the coalition-supported counter-Isil forces, that are participants in the cessation of hostilities in Syria. While the world’s attention has been focused on Britain and Europe another strand of prophecy continues to unfold in Syria. This week saw confrontation between America and Russia in the skies over Syria. Russia deliberately struck the New Syria Army. The New Syrian Army (NSA), which receives training and direction from British, American and Jordanian special forces, said their base had been struck with cluster bombs. Russia was attacking therefore one of America’s more important anti ISIS forces in Syria. British troops later crossed into Syria from Jordan to help rebuild the group’s shattered defences. And so we see how Britain and America are coming ever closer to conflict over the war in Syria. Britain and America are the king of the south. Russia is the king of the north. Now Britain is to “divorce” Europe the stage is set for her to fulfil her role as the king of the south with America… Tarshish and her young lion… COMMENT BIBLE QUOTE (Daniel 11:40)

Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. • Nasa reports hottest spring in history Daily Mail, June 22, 2016 EVENT The U.N. weather agency is warning of 'fundamental change' afoot in the global climate and continued warming, accompanied recently by unusually high rainfall in parts of the US and Europe. The World Meteorological Organization cited data released by Nasa showing that this May was the hottest on record, and the Northern Hemisphere spring has been the hottest spring ever. WMO global climate director Dr. David Carlson said the new data showed 370 straight months of warm or warmer-than-average temperatures worldwide. The state of the climate so far this year gives us much cause for alarm,' said Carlson. The first four months of 2016 were the warmest globally in 136 years. 'Exceptionally high temperatures. Ice melt rates in March and May that we don't normally see until July. Once-in-a-generation rainfall events. The super El Niño is only partly to blame. Abnormal is the new normal.' The world is spinning out of control. Whether it’s politically, morally, financially or physically (in terms of weather) – there are NO man made solutions for the mess planet earth is in. Recent predictions by US scientists anticipate that 2016 will go down as Earth's hottest year on record—on the heels of record-setting years in 2014 and 2015. Extreme weather in China this week saw nearly 100 killed by a tornado. 20 people have been killed West Virginia floods. Nearly 100 people were killed in India this week by lightening strikes. And so it goes on. We have signs in the earth below and the heavens above that worldwide judgement is coming….SOON. COMMENT BIBLE QUOTE (Luke 21:10-11)
