This project focuses on optimizing the Baseline profile of H.264/AVC video coding by reducing computational complexity and encoding time. Key strategies include the implementation of the Fast Adaptive Termination (FAT) algorithm for Intra prediction, paired with parallel programming techniques using OPEN MD. We evaluate the performance improvements through simulations at varying Quality Parameters (QPs) of 20, 30, and 40, highlighting the effectiveness of merging FAT with predictive algorithms.
