  3. Living Hope Great name for a church 1 Peter 1  3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

  4. Unpacking Living Hope Cause for praise 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! A gift In his great mercy he has given us A new start new birth into a living hope A resurrection experience through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

  5. Unpacking Living Hope Confident Hope 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,

  6. Unpacking Living Hope Faith and Hope 5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

  7. Unpacking Living Hope Faith and Hope in Trials 6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Unpacking Living Hope Faith and Hope in Trials Romans 5 And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Unpacking Living Hope Faith and Hope expressed in Love 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 1 Cor 13 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

  10. Unpacking Living Hope Anchored in Hope 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls. Hebrews 6 19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, 20 where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf.
