  8. Why would you put STEM and global learning together?? From Practical Action’s point of view It gives us a way of integrating global learning into mainstream subjects that wouldn’t normally teach in this way …Which will help us inspire more students to care about poverty reduction…and act accordingly

  9. Why would you put STEM and global learning together?? From a teacher’s point of view • Global issues provide a great context for hands-on inquiry based learning • Good for SEAL and PLTS • Reinforces understanding of the subject • Fits the National Curriculum criteria • Really engages pupil

Wind power challenge ‘After the event the pupils were really keen to do more work on this and I felt it lent itself to a project involving  our partner school Malaika elementary in Zambia. …I have now got a very keen group of pupils who are going to look at all things water related....hopefully presenting their work at the regional Big Bang in July (east midlands).
