  2. IAF structure (release ) 1 2 3

  3. IAF overview (1)

  4. IAF overview (2)

  5. WISE-RTD A web-based interface will provide access to CWA data bases within the WISE-RTD portal The user will be able to identify a selection of adaptation measures and related information and export/download them for the assessment using mDSS

  6. Adaptation Measures Viewer (demo) The web-based Adaptation Measure Viewer provides background information on measure. Measure can be selected according to filtering rules and downloaded locally.

  7. Evaluation criteria • effectiveness • economic efficiency • side-effects • performance under uncertainty • Conditions for decision making

  8. mDSS used by local experts for preliminary assessment of alternative measures Application example:

  9. Application context • The users have previously identified a subset of measures of interest by querying the ClimWatAdapt Database of Adaptation Measures within the Wise-Rtd portal • They have downloaded the subset DB in a local PC • They launched mDSS • NOTE: values obtained for demonstration purposes at CMCC

  10. Elements of the IAF activated for the demo (and for the expert knowledge elicitation exercise) (3)

  11. Setting the evaluation context

  12. Filling the data needs

  13. Analysing the results

  14. Thank you for your attention!

  15. Weighting exercise • 11 sub-criteria grouped in 5 criteria are used for the assessment of the measures: multiple assessment dimensions  MCAM • Relative weights are needed to express the relative importance of each (sub)criterion in order to perform aggregation • weights are subjective

  16. Weighting of the sub-criteria
