  2. Writing Task • You are a unit of measurement in math, an inch, foot, or yard. Think about what your job is. What items do you measure? How big are you? Where can you be found or used? Use the cinquain format to list your ideas.

  3. Cinquain format • Line 1: a one word title • Line 2: 2 words that describe your title • Line 3: 3 words that describe an action about your title • Line 4: a 4 word phrase that describes a feeling relating to your topic • Line 5: one word that refers back to your title

  4. Example: Cats Furry, soft Running, jumping, purring Nibbling lovebites, wakeup clock Felines
