Faculty of Business & Law – Research Forum February 2014 University Sources of Research Income Research Block Grants ($40,513,617 in 2014) The Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research manages six programs to support research and research training in Australian Higher Education Providers (HEPs): Research Infrastructure Blocks Grants Scheme (RIBG) Joint Research Engagement (JRE). Replaced the Institutional Grants Scheme (IGS). Sustainable Research Excellence (SRE). Introduced in 2010 Research Training Scheme (RTS) The Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA) The Commercialisation Training Scheme (CTS) International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS). Reintroduced in 2009.
