Modulation for 100kbps Bit Rate

This submission proposes a modulation scheme for the nominal 100kbps optional bit rate in IEEE P802.15.4a. It suggests using the same approach as for other bit rate options.

  2. Objective • Propose a modulation for the low data rate option (nominal 100 kbps) which is built the same way than for the other rates L. Ouvry — CEA-Leti

  3. Mandatory Mode Modulation & Coding(from 681r0) L. Ouvry — CEA-Leti

  4. Modulation L. Ouvry — CEA-Leti

  5. Reed Solomon Primitive polynomial: Generator polynomial: Coding L. Ouvry — CEA-Leti

  6. Optional low bit rate Mode • Same approach than for optional higher rates : • Increase symbol duration • Proportionally increase number of pulses in the burst to keep mean PRF constant L. Ouvry — CEA-Leti

  7. Modulation & Coding options L. Ouvry — CEA-Leti

  8. Conclusions • Proposal for a modulation scheme suitable for the nominal ~100 kbps option • Built straightforwardly from the other bit rate modes • Suitable for the coherent receiver • Suitable for the non coherent receiver L. Ouvry — CEA-Leti
