A mindset is often seen as emanating from a person's world view or philosophy of life or their world view and outlook on life. It can also refer to a particular type of mental attitude or consciousness, such as elitism, mysticism, realism, liberalism, utilitarianism, perfectionism, and greed. The meaning of the word is that it is an abstract attitude, whereby people believe something to be true irrespective of the evidence, and have a kind of blind allegiance and trust to that which they perceive to be true.
