  1. Chapter 2: Interdisciplinary Research in Health Problems Film: Aids and Circumcision The evidence for the relationship between aids and circumcision was multi and interdisciplinary. The practice of circumcision is cultural and religious. The change in practice requires a multi and interdisciplinary effort.

  2. Film: Eduardo the Healer • Update: Eduardo recently died, after this film he became quite famous and opened a clinic which saw patience up until he died. He became internationally recognized as a shaman/healer and went to international conferences on shamanism. • Even traditional healers are multi disciplinary practitioners. • Magic • Psychology • Anthropology • Etc.

Eco Terms: • Ecology - The study of ecosystems • Interrelationships between the environment and the populations that inhabit that environment • Population – a group of individuals of the same species that live in the same environmental area • Species – a population of reproductively isolated individuals – gene flow within a species, no gene flow between species. • Niche – a way of making a living within an environment.
