  2. Background part 1 • When the earth was formed the crust tuned in to a solid • The crust is huge pieces of rock that hover the mantle • The plates move north, south, west, east • The size of the plates are 80-400 km • The size changes of the plates all of the time

  3. Background part 2 • The major plates are: the Eurasian plate, Australian Indian plate, Philipineplate, North American plate, Caribbean plate, South American plate, African plate, and more

Questions • Alfred Wegener originated the theory of Pangaea • Pangaea (super cotinent ) was not excepted by scientist un till the late • Pangaea means all lands, it occurred in the Paleozoic and the Mesozoic ears • hesAlexander Dutoit with fossil evidence • Location where plates and crust move together and they make earthquakes and volcanoes to go off • Earthquakes, Volcanoes, and avalanche
