  2. A Little Background Info • Rockets were first used in ancient China as ceremonial fireworks. • Rockets then were adopted by the Indians, Arabs, English, Mongols, and the North and South Americans. • Over time they have been used for things like weapons, photography, and space travel.

  3. Trig to find height • First we had to identify our distance • We then discovered our tangent after firing our rocket using a sextant • Finally we multiplied the distance and tangent to find our height

  4. COMPUTATION H=height=x D=distance=200 Tangent d =h/d= x/200 Angle=37 degrees tan 37=.745 200x.745=150.8 height=150.8
