Phase 1 Project Status: CPUC Grade Crossing Applications • 44 crossings on the project require CPUC approval • 39 grade crossing applications have been filed • 5 grade crossing applications require additional analysis prior to submittal to the CPUC • Farmdale Ave. • Watt Way • Trousdale Pedestrian Crossing • Menlo Ave. • Vermont Ave. • Protests have been filed on all 36 grade crossing applications • A modified design approach is under development with LADOT and CPUC for the 8 grade crossings protested by CPUC 3

4. Phase 1 Project Status: Real Estate • Completed termination of 44 leases; 24 leases remain active • Total of 17 active acquisition parcels • 13 property appraisals are complete • Offers have been made for 13 parcels • 3 agreements are signed and in escrow • 1 parcel has been acquired 4

13. Summary of Jobs Program Activities: April 2007 • Met with Union Local 300 Field Representatives to discuss progress in hiring new and existing union members from the Expo corridor. Will meet with the Union on a monthly basis. • Continued to use PVJOBS workers to distribute construction notices and public meeting announcements throughout the corridor. • Distributed Expo Jobs Program information throughout the Expo Corridor to libraries, community organizations, senior centers and retail establishments • Continued to update database of individuals interested 13

14. Phase 2 Project Status: AA/EIS/Conceptual Engineering • Organized and summarized approximately 3,000 communications (letters, scoping cards, emails, etc.) regarding project scoping. Distributed comments among disciplines for review and action as required. • Prepared draft Scoping Report for internal review • Conducted Agency Scoping meeting • Continued data collection on various environmental issues, e.g., biological resources, historic resources, etc. • Continued Phase 1 Grade Crossing Policy analysis development for LRT alternatives • Continued monitoring of Metro Ridership model and coordinated with FTA 14

Phase 2 Project Status: AA/EIS/Conceptual Engineering (cont.) • Began alternatives development including initial plan and profiles, alternative station locations and initial trip times • Continued development of baseline mapping • Began identification of potential TPSS and ancillary facilities sites in support of environmental review • Developed and submitted priority traffic count list for LADOT action • Held initial meetings with Santa Monica and Los Angeles regarding bikepath plans 15
